Hi Friends! After yesterday's post I have had several inquiries about how registration works for both girls and adults, so I thought an article may help explain. So grab some coffee or tea, settle in because we have a lot to cover. It all begins with a link! A link to both our registration forms (girl and adult) will be emailed, posted on our Facebook page and our buttons (links under the Registration tab) on our website will be activated. Once you link to a form, (I'm including a link to PDF preview below), fill out all areas and submit. *Badge selection is taken at the time of registration. Note that you will need to rank your daughter's list of badge requests, so talking to her beforehand about what is offered will help. *A change that will be noticeable for you all returning to camp, is that we will no longer allow any changes to cabin roommates after arriving to camp. You MUST indicate your roommate requests on your registration form and we will do our best to accommodate. If you do not have any roommate requests, we will place you with girls in your current unit level (Explorer, Pioneer, or Patriot) and/or troop location. Be aware that roommate requests cannot cross units, for example: Explorers cannot request to room with Pioneers or Patriots. *We provide loads of options for our camper's daily meals. One of our greatest testimonies is that we have the best food of any camp around. Even with all of our options, we still find that there are girls that have strict dietary needs that sometimes have been difficult to manage while at a camp (with no air conditioning) where there isn't open access to a kitchen (our staff are in our kitchen all day prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning from one meal to the next; it doesn't stop from 6am til 9pm), so we are choosing to only accommodate girls who have a medical condition that limits their dietary needs. We will no longer accommodate healthy lifestyle choices as a reason to supplement meals. We offer many options at every meal to accommodate almost anything. We provide gluten free options for every meal. A copy of our menu will in a link below. *All campers who take medication while at camp both prescription and over the counter must indicate what medications they anticipate will be needed and any medical conditions that need to be explained to the Health and Safety Lead to determine camp eligibility. We are in a rural setting, at least 40 minutes from any medical facility and critical conditions should be considered risky if you would like to attend camp. Therefore, you must submit a form from your physician stating that you are fit to attend camp. ALL CAMPERS MUST BRING WITH THEM TO CAMP, THEIR HIGH ADVENTURE MEDICAL FORM, that is completed by A PHYSICIAN, per AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS, INC. *We do not accept any electronic payments for camp deposits or payments. All checks should be remitted to: Camp Wannacombac PO Box 304 Abbeville, SC 29620 Special information for Adult forms: Be prepared to indicate where you would like to serve at camp. Everyone serves somewhere! Most of serve all day long. If you play musical instrument, have lifeguarding certification or are a nurse, please let us know on the form. If you have additional questions after reading this post and looking at our forms, please contact me via our website or directly through our email.
